Brianna has been working at NGS since 2015 was a competitive gymnast through high school. Brianna is determined to make the gym and her classes a positive and welcoming place for everybody to have fun, learn new skills and be active!

Anna has experience at every level of gymnastics.  She was a member of the USSR national team, trained the national team of Kazakhstan, has a Master's in Sport and has been Judging Chairperson and Course Conductor on the Island for more than a decade.  She's an NCCP Lv 3 coach and coach evaluator, choreographer and a High Performance National Judge. 

Trevor is a Nanaimo-born former Canadian national gymnast and has been coaching for more than twenty years. Trevor is a devoted husband and father. His philosophy: "The cake tastes better if the baking process is fun."

Keli grew up in Victoria, British Columbia.  She has owned and operated a Children's Daycare with involvement in the  B.C. Foster-Parent and Respite Care programs for children and young adults with special needs. She later pursued a coaching career, and continues her work with children at Nanaimo Gymnastics School in our preschool program.

Tylar trained and worked at Aerials Gymnastics in Spruce Grove AB as a Recreational and Play School Coach.  Drawing on her Inuit heritage, Tylar is passionate about creating an inclusive,  ​  warmly welcoming experience for our families from their first contact with the school.

With more than 15 years as a competitive athlete and coach, Katrina been on recreational, competitive and Gymnaestrada Worlds Teams.  She is a Level 2 Competitive Coach, Recreational and Trampoline Evaluator and has experience as a Recreational Co-ordinator

Tihanna joined gymnastics when she was 5 and was a part of the Recreational, Pre-Competitive and Interclub Programs before becoming a Competitive Gymnast in 2016.  Tihanna now coaches part time in our competitive program and studies Social Work at VIU. 

Olivia brings years of Early Childhood Education experience and leadership in youth sport to her work as part time recreational coach here.  She has coached levels from Parent and Tot to Intermediate Recreational Classes and trained as a rec gymnast herself as a youth.  When she's not working at NGS she is completing her Bachelor of Education at VUI.

These pups offer hugs and are quick to give bundles of emotional support. With wagging tails and gentle nudges, they provide unwavering comfort. Their affection knows no bounds, as they snuggle in and brighten everyone's day.

Smoky is a 30-year old, Congo African Grey Parrot.  He works part-time in the NGS office with his human, Cathleen, and very much enjoys stealing pens.  He might greet you with a cheery "Hello!" or dance along to the music in the gym.  

Each year, we are proud to offer CIT training to numerous young coaches beginning their coaching careers.
